JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Social Care Administration in Växjö Municipality is one of the largest workplaces in the municipality, with around 2,000 employees. Our mission is to provide good care and support to our residents – the elderly and people with disabilities – for a daily life that is both important and meaningful. We are now looking for a licensed nurse who wants to be part of the nursing unit in Växjö Municipality. You will work at our special accommodation in Braås, where we together create a safe and meaningful daily life for the elderly. The work involves responsibility and variation, and you always have support from colleagues and the opportunity to develop in your professional role.

As a nurse, you have a central role in ensuring safe and high-quality care. You work daytime and currently every fifth weekend. In your role, you combine independent responsibility for patients' health care with guidance of nursing staff and collaboration with other professionals.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Being responsible for patients' health care, including medication management.
  • Guiding and supporting nursing staff in daily work.
  • Documenting according to applicable routines and legislation.
  • Collaborating with various professionals, relatives, and colleagues to create cohesive and person-centered care.
  • Contributing to development and quality work within the organization to promote a good and safe care environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a licensed nurse and has a genuine interest in working with the elderly. You are confident in your professional role, can make independent decisions, and enjoy taking responsibility. You communicate clearly, collaborate well with others, and have a desire to continue developing in your profession and contribute to improving the quality of care.

Requirements

  • License as a nurse.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • Good computer skills and ability to document according to applicable routines.
  • Driver's license (B).

Meritorious

  • Experience from working in elderly care.
  • Specialist training, for example as a district nurse.

Before a possible employment, we will:

  • Request an extract from the criminal record for checking personal information in the criminal record (442.3) according to § 9 1st. An order for an extract can be made via the police's website.
  • Check valid passport or work permit.
  • Conduct register checks with IVO and HOSP.
